Meaning of Flowers, conjures flash backs to Nick Drake, Fiona wears her folk influences on her sleeve with finger-style guitar and sparse instrumentation. A song written to help her endure the darkness of her husbands’ dialysis, while making the decision to donate her kidney to expedite the transplant process. Warwick Thomas’ sympatico production and delicious harmonies provide extra depth and body to the track. Jack Howard's flugelhorn ensures the song transcends folk to bring back Bacharach and images from Disney’s Fantasia. Triumphant and transcendent.
